Teachers Day Celebration by Lions Club of Madras Mylapore

On 19th September 2024, the Lions Club of Madras, Mylapore, organized a Teachers Day celebration to honor our teachers for their contribution to society.

The event recognized 34 teachers with the Best Teacher Award, paying tribute to their dedication and commitment.

Inauguration of Skating Rink

On 19th September 2024, the Skating Rink was inaugurated at the Girls Home of AHI.

Mohammed Shafin a student of class 2 from M.W.A, the winner of the State Skating Championship was invited to perform a 5-minute routine as part of the event.

A Day Out

On 24th August 2024, an educational trip was organized for the students of Std XI and XII to the India Seashell Museum.

The visit provided an opportunity to experience a beautiful collection of seashells and other molluscs.

The students also explored the Mineral Museum, Dino Park, Haunted House, Pearl Museum, and Aquarium.
This trip served as an enriching experience, that was both fun and educational.

Inter House Dramatics -2024

On August 20th, 2024, our school's Dramatics Club hosted an enthralling inter-house drama competition.

Each house presented exciting renditions of Shakespearean classics such as Macbeth, Hamlet, The Tempest, and the captivating original production A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The performances displayed remarkable youthful talent, featuring intense emotions, clever humor, and inventive storytelling. This theatrical event truly showcased the enchanting allure of Shakespearean drama and made a profound impact on the audience.

A Day Out to JBAS College Workshop

On 9th August 2024, a one-day hands-on workshop and talk on "Popularization of Basic Sciences" was held at JBAS College.

The talk covered many topics, including cell division, bioinformatics, DNA extraction from onions, etc.

Grade 9 students from M.W.A, participated in the workshop, gaining valuable insights and practical experience on the topic

78th Independence Day Celebrations

On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, the school celebrated with great enthusiasm. The national flag was hoisted by our esteemed Honorary Secretary Dr. Chand Begum and Treasurer Mrs. Arshiya Irfan , marking the occasion which was celebrated with great excitement and unity.


PTA Board Meeting - 2024

On August 13th, 2024, the School Management held a PTA Board meeting for all PTA moms , during which, President Mrs. Nikhath Fathima Suhail announced that the school's Centenary celebrations would commence in 2025 and emphasized the importance of the PTA's expanded role in these events.

Additionally, a few fathers who voluntered were honored with mementos in recognition of their active involvement in traffic regulation near the school gates and their dedicated efforts during the Carnival.


Hifz Review Session

On 7th August 2024, the honorary Secretary, Dr. Chand Begum and Mrs Shehnaz Currimbuoy, EC member, reviewed the Hifz program conducted by the school and congratulated the students and teachers on their hardwork.


IIT Madras- School Connect Program

On 16th July 2024, the Principal addressed the parents and students of Class XI regarding the IIT Madras - School Connect Certificate program.

This 8-week course offers comprehensive knowledge in Data Science and AI for all streams of Std XI. Additionally, students in the Maths and Computer Science streams have the opportunity to take a specialized course in Electronic Systems.

This initiative aims to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in these advanced fields.


Career Guidance Program - 2024

A Career Guidance Program was organized for Students of Std IX-XII on 10th July 2024, featuring a renowned Guest speaker, Mr Syed Kaleel Ahmed, an esteemed engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy. His experience spans over 35 years in both industry and academia. He has also founded two social startups devoted to creating awareness, motivating, and guiding youngsters.

The workshop aimed to enlighten our students about the various fields and career opportunities they can explore, and to positively impact society, In sha Allah.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs Khatija Zeeshan, an EC member of MWA, for inviting her husband to be the day's speaker.
