Alumna’s Enduring Connection to MWA

Preetha Achamma Anand, formerly known as Achamma Jacob during her time at MWA, stands as a notable alumna from the school's inaugural batch as a third grader in 1961. Returning to the school after decades, she was impressed by the growththe school had undergone since her time here as a student. She donated two books, authored by her late daughter, to the school library.Despite later schooling at Church Park due to grade limitations, her ongoing support for MWA remains evident through her contributions to the school. We are truly delighted by her visit to our school after all this time!

My Success story:

I’m Samreen Fathima (batch 2014-2015), currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics- Energy, at the University of Madras. First of all, I feel proud and privileged to be an alumna of such an esteemed institution.

M.W.A has shaped me with life skills and moral values. The teachers have been cordial and enthused us to stay focused. Two things of my school which I still honor and cherish the most first is the institution that improves the standards of education imparted to the students with growing challenges and secondly, it is our Vice-Principal Mrs.Shabana Mam, whose smile radiates positivity in me.

The memory I Cherish:

Here is a moment from the Milad-un-Nabi celebration, where my role was to deliver the last sermon of Prophet Mohammed . This photograph reminds me of the most important role I had performed at the event.

This is because despite being a frequent on-stage, off-stage performer I was very nervous to deliver the sermon given by our beloved Prophet Mohammed . But there was this true and motivational friend of mine Ms.Haseebunissa (the girl in the costume of a lawyer ) who told me not to be frightened for making a mistake rather, take it as blessing cum pride to have been allowed to take the great responsibility of delivering the last sermon of Prophet . This memory always encourages me whenever I feel unnerved by any huge responsibility given to me.

Back to school, but as a teacher!

The M.W.A. has and still does have a fantastic reputation for its Academics. I believed it was the best place for me to develop academically and religiously as a young adult. More importantly, they challenge you to be independent, which for me, enabled me to enter into the university for my higher studies and flow through life much smoother.

The M.W.A. has given me lasting friendships, the strength, and knowledge with faith in God that I can achieve my goals no matter the countless obstacles I face. I assure you that M.W.A. will always have a remarkable high standard of education, management, and teachers.

Penning down my Thoughts

Ahhhh! MWA - my favourite place in the whole wide world; a place that prepared me for all the different phases of my life. I have been incredibly blessed to have had my roots here I owe beyond infinity to all the amazing people connected to this beautiful place for the love and support they selflessly provide.

Today I serve my society in all the little ways I could, as a Psychologist; a Researcher; a Trainer; a Coach; an Author, and an Asst. Professor. I owe every bit of who I am today, to my Alma mater!
