COLOURS DAY 2023

Recently, our little nursery students celebrated 'Colour Day' at school, where they came dressed in shades of red, blue, green, and purple and brought objects of the same colour to share with the class. The children were urged to explore the beautiful world of colours with activities that excited both the students and teachers!

ANNUAL DAY CULTURAL EVENTS

On the 2nd of Februrary, M.W.A celebrated its 61st Annual Day, in an event that brought together the school’s managing committee, staff, students and mothers. Chief guest, Thirumati Janani Mahesh Poyyamozhi was welcomed, followed by a qiraat by one of our students to start off the event. The evening was filled with entertaining skits, beautiful nasheeds and much more by our students who practiced for days for this big moment. The stage was filled with colourful costumes and props and our students performed splendidly leaving everyone in the audience with huge smiles! Our intra-school competition winners were awarded by the chief guest and after rising for the national anthem, the evening was brought to a close. M.W.A’s 61st Annual Day celebration was something our students had looked forward to and their happiness at its completion was what made this event a great success!

The students of MWA displayed remarkable projects on various scientific concepts at the ‘Science Expo’ held on 17th November 2022 at our school. They amazed us with their curiosity and method of studying, analysing, and presenting even the more complex topics in science. We were also happy to host students from other schools attended the exhibition and took part in the interesting exchange of ideas.

“How We Did It!” An interactive session with a few eminent alumni of MWA, who shared their struggles and success with the students of Grades X to XII, and gave them a clearer picture of the vast opportunities available for their future.

The AUF Language Literary Club was inaugurated on 7th September 2022, byPresident, Mrs Nikhath Fathima. The program was graced by established French, Urdu, and Arabic speakers, who guided the students of grades VIII to X to help them in choosing a second language for their higher secondary classes. Present on the dais, (from right) were: Mrs Bilkhis Sait, Alliance Français, Mrs Nikhath Naaz, (Urdu Dept) Queen Mary’s College, and Mrs Asfiya Mariam, Arabic Professor at Aspire College of Excellence.

A proud moment for MWA!We were honoured with the National Award for Excellence in Education 2022, awarded by the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP). We are appreciative to all our staff who made this milestone possible!

MWA president, Mrs. Nikhath Fathima Suhail, was felicitated by Dr. Md. Nayeemur Rahman, Vice Chairman of Tamil Nadu State Urdu Academy, at a presentation by EDSIX Brain Lab PVT. LTD on how it aids in upgrading school students’ IQ levels. The meeting was a great opportunity for principals and coordinators from various schools to come together and learn about the latest advancements in education today.

MWA Senior Advisor, Mrs Sajidha Begum, was honoured as a Chief Guest at the Govt. Hobart School for the Urdu Association Program on June 28th 2022. She addressed the audience on the ‘Significance of Urdu Language’ to spark interest amongst the students.
